FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Below is a list of the most common questions asked by Affiliates.

1. How do I get started?

To join the GolfSwitch Affiliate Program, all you need to do is read and accept the terms of the affiliate agreement and fill out the application form. As soon as that is complete, your application will be reviewed and approved within 5 business days (usually sooner). Once approved we will setup your account and generate your links to the golf booking engine. We will then send you your links, and setup documents, including your Affiliate ID password, which you can use to log into the affiliate partner area. After that, all you need to do is set up your link(s).

2. How does the program work?

The affiliate (you) places the link(s) on your website. You only need to sign up once. You can place as many of GolfSwitch links on as many web pages as you like. With your Affiliate ID, we can track all the reservations that originate from your web pages. So, after a visitor is redirected from your site to ours, we record that this visitor came from you. Then, when that visitor makes a confirmed booking, you receive commission.

3. I have more than one website. Can I use my Affiliate ID and links on that site also?

Absolutely, you can use your affiliate links on as many sites and/or web pages as you like, as long as you register these URLs with GolfSwitch. There is no need to sign up more then once. Just make sure that you do not alter the affiliate URLs in any way when you place them on your site(s). All the clicks and bookings will be tracked to your Affiliate ID from every site.

4. Who is eligible to become a GolfSwitch Affiliate?

We welcome all sites to join our program. It will probably help if your site's content is sports, travel, or golf related, but that is not necessary. However, we do reserve the right to suspend or make changes to the program at any time.

5. How much does it cost to join the program?

Absolutely nothing! There is no application fee, set-up costs and, most importantly, no minimum sales requirement.  If however, you would like us to customize your GolfSwitch hosted booking pages, a setup fee of will apply.

6. Can I link to other golf sites if I join the GolfSwitch Affiliate program?

We encourage our affiliates to join programs and create links, which are complementary to the content on their site. However, as a GolfSwitch Affiliate, you are contractually required to agree to use GolfSwitch as the exclusive tee time reservation engine on your sites.

8. When I click on my affiliate URL, it seems to redirect to GolfSwitch.com and my ID disappears. Is this normal?

Yes, that is how our system works. When a client clicks on your affiliate URL, our system reads the affiliate ID and sends the user to a default page. It then tracks all subsequent clicks and bookings to your account. As long as you set up your affiliate URL(s) correctly, all the user activity will be tracked properly.

9. How are bookings tracked to my site?

All links from your site to GolfSwitch contain your unique affiliate ID code, so that every time a user comes to us via your site, we know to credit you when a confirmed booking is made. Make sure that all links on your site are created using the HTML code generated for you, so that all visitors are tracked correctly.

10. What is a "confirmed booking"?

After a booking is made, there is a chance that it may be cancelled or amended. We credit our affiliates 45 days after the end of the month in which the transaction is made, however, we reserve the right to deduct any properly cancelled reservations from the Affiliate’s account. Any cancellations are deducted from the Affiliates account in the next months billing cycle.

11. How much do I get paid?

For every CONFIRMED booking that you refer to GolfSwitch from your affiliate link, you receive from 25-50% of the net commission from that booking. There are many factors that contribute to the commission amount like the destination, quality of course, season, number of players, day of the week, how much volume the Affiliate generates and more. For that reason, Affiliates can earn anywhere from $.30 - $50.00 in commission for each transaction originated from your site. On average, Affiliates can earn $2.50 - $15.00 per transaction.

As per Affiliate Agreement section 4 and Exhibit A - The Company will pay the Partner a percentage of the revenue generated by sales resulting from this new cooperative venture. The transactional commissions will be paid according to the following outline:

Commission Paid = (EUI – GCI) * PF - TF * BCP

 

  • EUI – End User Invoice (what the end user pays to us)
  • GCI – Golf Course Invoice (what we pay to the golf course)
  • PF - Processing Fees – Approximately 3%, billed on actual
  • TF - Transaction Fees - $1.50 per round
  • BCP - Booking Commission Percentage – 25-50%

12. Do I earn commissions from my own purchases?

Yes. You can earn commissions on any tee time reservations that you, your friends, family and customers make from visiting GolfSwitch through your web site's affiliate links to us.

13. How do I get paid?

GolfSwitch Affiliates get paid in US Dollars (USD). Commissions are paid monthly via check, not more than 45 days after the end of the month in which the transaction took place. The minimum amount paid is $50. If you do not reach the minimum payment amount in any given month, the amount earned is rolled over to the next month, until you have enough to qualify for payment. Any cancellations processed after commission disbursement will be rolled over and deducted from the Affiliate’s account in the next billing cycle.

14. How will I monitor my sales and commission?

The Company will keep an audit of all transactions subject to this Agreement. The Company will provide the Affiliate with access to a tracking area, which shows the number of bookings submitted by users referred by the Affiliate. This area is updated in real time.

15. How do I set up my links?

It's very simple. Once you are approved, simply login to the GolfSwitch Affiliate Admin area using your Affiliate ID and password. Select the links you like (remember, you can use as many links as you like), cut and paste the link into your web page and you are done. 16. What if I don't like any of the links GolfSwitch has to offer?

No problem. You are free to modify the links, booking consoles and banners we have at any time to fit in with your web site. In fact, we can help you customize your links to suit your site for a small fee.

17. Can I change and update my links?

Absolutely. You can make any changes at any time, for whatever reason you choose. We also recommend that you check the affiliate partner area regularly, as we may add or modify our selection of links and banners.

18. Where should I put my links?

There are various ways of putting your links on your site to maximize your chances of earning a commission. Here are some suggestions:

  • On your home page

  • On you navigation bar

  • In a dedicated travel or golf section of your site

  • Other areas, where a golf booking service would be useful, e.g. leisure, shopping or e-commerce
